The silent crime

Often the victim knows nothing about the theft until someone asks for payment on loans or bills which have been opened fraudulently. And then, because the fraud has been going on for so long it can cost the victim, on average, up to £8,000 for legal fees and other expenses and it takes 200 hours of their time¹ to restore the reputation in extreme cases.
