DataPatrol online monitoring
With so much of our lives spent online, it's easy to lose track of how much information about you is out there which could potentially be misused by fraudsters looking to steal your identity.
Find out more about the features of CPP's Identity Safe service.
All it takes is something like paying a bill, buying from a website or signing up for a newsletter online. Even if you don't regularly use the web, your details could still be available online via public databases like the electoral roll.
Our online monitoring uses the DataPatrol tool, which monitors nearly 2 million pieces of traded data every month (Source: Garlik, April 2011).. By keeping a constant eye on your personal information online, DataPatrol acts as an early warning system alerting you if we think your details may have been compromised.
We'll show you which unsecure websites and public databases hold details about you and tell you how at risk you are. As an Identity Safe customer we'll immediately start monitoring the details we have on file for you and we'll alert you about anything we think is high risk, by email (if we have your email address) or by post.
You can widen the search and fully activate by visiting our online members' area and giving us more information about yourself. The more we know about you, the more we can keep an eye on for you.
Our customers say...
Our CPP Personal Fraud Expert was really good, he wrote to us and said there was nothing to pay out – and you can't get better than that.
My Personal Fraud Expert was brilliant. He was clearly knowledgeable and well trained to deal with people in upsetting situations.
My Personal Fraud Expert was very reassuring and told me that he was taking over. It gave me confidence knowing that he was suddenly there to sort it out, like my guardian angel!
