What is card fraud?

Card fraud is when someone other than yourself uses your card or card details in stores or online. This can often happen when your card is stolen from your purse, wallet or house – especially if the thieves also take something giving your address and other personal details.

Chip and Pin

Do you need card protection now that Chip & PIN is here? Absolutely. While it might be helping to reduce high street fraud in the UK, thieves are increasingly taking stolen cards abroad to countries that have yet to upgrade to Chip and PIN.* And according to APACS (the Association for Payment Clearing Services) figures, online, phone and mail order fraud have grown by 122 per cent over the last five years.*

We believe you should be protected against fraud, no matter where it's committed. That’s why CPP Card Protection covers you against losses if your cards are lost or stolen, in the shops or abroad.

It’s also worth remembering that CPP Card Protection offers a lot more than insurance for card fraud. You can also safeguard your identification documents, personal belongings, keys and much more.
